Product designer at Undo

2022 - Now

At this Danish insurance company, I had the exciting challenge of improving how over 50,000 customers filed their claims. It wasn't just about making things run smoother; it was about setting clear, achievable goals, communicating our team's work, and fostering a collaborative environment.

I spearheaded research and discovery activities to refine existing claim flows and conducted experiments aimed at validating the feasibility and effectiveness of our ideas.

My responsibilities included designing and coding the user interface, as well as implementing necessary improvements to address high-priority issues for our customer and claim handling team.

"With a self-propelled work ethic, a profound understanding of design theory, and a great product sense, Laurynas has been contributing to the Undo product experience in many ways. His ability to independently manage and drive projects, coupled with his can-do attitude, makes him valuable asset to any design team."

Lead product designer at Klix

2022 - 2022

At an international fintech company, I led design initiatives for desktop and mobile products, focusing on enhancing user experience and conversion rates.

My projects included redesigning a "Buy Now, Pay Later" installment product, developing a new one-click checkout open banking payments solution, and revamping the marketing page to more effectively communicate product offerings and encourage app downloads or retailer partnerships.

My approach involved listening to what users had to say, and using their feedback to shape our prototypes. Then, through several rounds of tweaking and testing, I crafted a user interface that not only looked good but felt right to the people using it.

"Laurynas played a pivotal role in steering our design projects, skillfully collaborating with the team to enhance user interfaces and interactions. His keen eye for aesthetics and functionality, coupled with a deep understanding of user-centric design principles, was crucial in transforming our vision into engaging, intuitive experiences that aligned with our business objectives."

Lead product designer at Foros

2021 - 2022

At a forest management platform, I was in charge of creating easy-to-use interfaces for forest owners, whether they were newbies or pros. My role involved transforming executive visions into real, workable stuff.

I got my hands dirty in workshops and chatting with users and subject matter experts, then took those ideas to sketch out, build, and test our designs.

Despite tight deadlines, I managed to delivered fully-fledged designs for a customer-facing application as well as a brand new internal tool for managing company's day-to-day tasks.

"Laurynas shined in his interactions with our engineering team, showing an empathetic understanding of their technical challenges and perspectives. His talent for building a harmonious and effective relationship with the engineers, along with his proactive and hands-on approach, not only made a significant impact on our project but also resonated on a personal level, marking him as an indispensable part of our team."

Product designer at Devbridge

2017 - 2021

I began my design career at a software consultancy in North America. Working with diverse clients such as Wells Fargo, John Deere, and Shorders was like a crash course in different worlds. Each industry had its own challenges and vocabularies, and I dove headfirst into understanding them all.

The variety of clients meant that I was always on my toes, immersing myself in unfamiliar domains, decoding complex concepts, and figuring out how to make them user-friendly and efficient through design, focusing mostly on internal tools that helped with their day-to-day work.

In addition to the UX/UI work, I was actively involved in workshops where we figured out what the clients needed. I spent a lot of time chatting with their teams, understanding how they worked and what problems they faced. It was all about seeing their world and designing solutions that made their lives a bit easier.

Translate

Certified translation service

I challenged myself to design and develop a modern, optimized certified translation ordering service. Partnering with a translation bureau, I conducted in-depth research and mapped out the service, aiming to automate and streamline the entire process.

Beyond the technical aspects, I also focused on driving web traffic and converting visitors into customers.
